I’m sure that this is nothing new since there are tons of blogs out there that probably have already shown you how to make coconut milk but this is what I did this morning and figured I’d share anyway.
Coconut milk really is very easy to make with only two simple ingredients, water and shredded coconut. I used four cups of water and two cups of coconut flakes.
I blended them up in my Nutri- Bullet- I love this thing BTW. I use it a lot. I will have to share one of my favorite smoothie recipes soon.
I use a cotton flour sack towel to strain mine in since I don’t have a nut bag or cheese cloth. These towels work perfect for me. No fancy tools needed here.
Squeeze as much of the water out as you can.
I save the pulp,
and put it in a freezer bag for later use. I will probably dehydrate this to make into flour. No since letting it go to waste.Then I just pour the milk into a mason jar and into the fridge it will go. It lasts about a week if I’m not drinking my smoothies everyday then it lasts me 4 days.
See how super simple that was. Took me all of maybe 15 minutes to make.
